Mick McCarthy admits he would have taken three points from the claret-and-blue hat trick of trips to Burnley, Aston Villa and West Ham.
But with three already in the bag courtesy of last weekends's win against Burnley, he is now greedy for more and won't be content with just the victory at Turf Moor.
The boss insists it's futile setting any targets for the remainder of the season - simply pick up as many points as possible in the quest for Barclays Premier League survival.
"I'd have taken three points from these three away games but just because we have got them doesn't mean I am happy with them," he said.
"I want more - more wants more!
"And we can get more because we've had good performances away from home.
"I don't doubt at all we can get points and I don't fear going to Villa or West Ham.
"We are not going there thinking it is bonus time, we want to get more points - six, five, four points - out of the nine.
"I just view it as amassing points and I don't go into totals we might need.
"Let's get points and see if anyone can beat our tally.
"It's completely barmy for me to set any targets because we don't know how many points it will need.
"Whatever games we win the teams below us have got to win two, so let's pick off points and see what happens.
"I have never changed my tack on that and I'm not going to change now."
The boss admits he takes no pleasure in seeing Portsmouth docked nine points for going into administration.
Equally he remains unconcerned when other relegation rivals manage to win games, insisting his team should be completely concentrated on securing their top flight status on their own merits.
"I would never wish ill on anyone in terms of what's happened to Portsmouth," he said.
"And when Wigan beat Liverpool, a few people were talking about it but at the end of the day it's fair play to them.
"We're not going to stay up on the number of points we've got at the moment so the onus is on us to get more.
"To do that we need to produce some more performances like what we've done in recent weeks.
"I still think there are a few teams in the mix down there and if we can wind in as many as we can by our results then great."
Mick meanwhile has remained largely unmoved by the alleged comments from striker Stefan Maierhofer about concerns over his lack of action at Molineux.
Maierhofer has denied making some of the more extreme comments in an article which originated abroad, and while Wolves continue to look into the issue Mick admits the striker can improve his own prospects by making the most of his loan spell at Bristol City.
"I've been made aware of the stories and as ever I would like to hear the recording," said Mick.
"Sometimes it's one of those where your best players are always those sat in the dugout or the stand.
"Chris Iwelumo went out on loan and scored some goals and came back and that's what Stefan has to do.
"Good luck to him - he can go and prove me wrong by scoring five or six goals in the next month and have a blinding time at Bristol City.
"Then he can come back and get involved."
