Jones Keeping Up With Rovers

Posted on: Tue 16 Mar 2010

Daniel Jones is to stay with Bristol Rovers until the end of the season after his loan was extended.

The left-sided player's initial deal was due to expire today, but the extension went through this afternoon to allow him to feature in Rovers' remaining games of their League One season, starting with their trip to Exeter tomorrow.

The 23-year-old has played a key role in helping stabilise Rovers' defence, and the team have picked up 13 points in the six games he has played since moving to the Memorial Ground.

Rovers currently occupy ninth spot in League One, nine points off the play-off zone.

Born in Wordsley, Jones made his Wolves debut at Plymouth in March, 2006, and in total has made 11 first team appearances.

He has previously enjoyed successful loan stays with Northampton, Oldham and Notts County.
