David Jones is hopeful there will be many more post-match celebration scenes like that at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Because that will mean Wolves have probably picked up enough points to have secured Barclays Premier League survival.
The relief and satisfaction of a job well done at Burnley saw several players throw their shirts into the crowd at the end of the weekend's 2-1 win, with the sellout 2,300 following roaring their approval.
"We really battled well - last time we went to Burnley, we didn't acquit ourselves that well or get the right result.
"But on Saturday I think we owed the fans from last time there because that was probably our lowest point of last season.
"So everyone was up for it and you could see how much it meant to the fans.
"We showed how much it meant to us as well by giving them our shirts and they went back down to Wolverhampton happy.
"You could see it on their faces - and the players' as well, because the joy of it was just immense.
"Hopefully we can get a few more of those before the end of the season."
It was always going to be a tension-filled afternoon on Lancashire given that both teams are fighting for their lives towards the lower end of the table.
And Jones is now hopeful Wolves can make the most of what could prove a crucial result.
"It could be a huge result.
"Before the game there was no denying how big that game was and there was lots of pressure riding on it.
"There was probably more pressure on them to win it but we managed to get a bit of luck and deserved the win.
"We knew it was going to have to be a workmanlike performance rather than playing the football we've been playing in recent weeks, but it was all about the result."
