Midfield duo Karl Henry and David Jones today insisted Wolves will start picking up points provided they maintain their recent form.

It's becoming a familiar tale in recent weeks but the engine room pairing are confident that a repeat of Saturday's performance against Manchester United will bring about a change in fortune at Burnley on Saturday.

"Saturday was disappointing," said Henry.

"I thought we made a very good side look ordinary at times and played really well but again it's to no avail.

"You could see how much it meant to United to win the game at the end and it was by no means a comfortable victory.

"They had to work hard for those points.

"It's another game with the top four out the way but we can take a lot of heart from the performance.

"We played well and although the gaffer keeps on at us about playing well but not getting anything but if we keep going like this we'll be fine."

Jones agreed with his midfield counterpart, admitting all Wolves need to add to current performances is a goal touch.

"It was a good performance as we've been doing in recent weeks and we limited them to very little," he said.

"It's hard to take but we have to get on with it and come back in today and start getting ready for Saturday.

"We weren't overawed and played our fair share of football and created some chances.

"We were patient in our build up and passed it around and bided our time like they do.

"I was unlucky with one chance in the first half which was blocked which took the pace off it.

"It's worked well in midfield with Karl sitting and myself and Adlene pushing forward.

"We just need to score some goals.

"With more performance like that between now and the end of the season I am sure we will pick up points."

Both were also united in expressing sympathy for striker Sam Vokes, who put a glorious chance to equalise over the crossbar in injury time.

"Vokesey has been quality whenever he's been called upon this season," said Henry.

"It was a chance which came too quickly and he missed it but these things happen."

"It was just unfortunate for Sam," added Jones.

"You want it to fall to him in the box because he's a quality finisher and it was just unlucky for him."

And Jones is confident Wolves have it within their capabilities to take points from their next three away games, at Burnley, Aston Villa and West Ham.

"We won't be afraid of going away from home for three games," he added.

"We've shown this season that we can play well away and can score goals.

"We'll all be looking forward to it and will be confident we can get something from Burnley.

"If we can replicate the Manchester United performance on Saturday then I'm sure we'll be a lot happier."
