Andy Keogh will be back travelling on the team coach tomorrow afternoon as Wolves make the trip up to Bolton.
And boss Mick McCarthy admits he has an outside chance of making the substitute's bench for the Reebok Stadium.
Earlier in the week the boss wasn't anticipating involving Keogh as he prepared to make his return after almost three months out after an ankle injury.
But he has trained well, to the extent that he will return to the travelling party tomorrow albeit with the initial thought of just keeping a watching brief.
"Andy trained with us today and will travel tomorrow," said Mick.
"I was asked the other day whether he would be ready and I didn't think so but he trained really well so he'll travel and get into the swing of things.
"It's probably unlikely that he'd be ready even for the bench but we'll just see how he reacts to training.
"Who knows I might take a different view on that.
"You can do as much running as you like and do all the rehab, but you can't replicate playing any other way.
"He's getting involved, he's being knocked about and having to jump and land, and he's looking comfortable."
