Marcus Hahnemann has praised the efforts of Michael Mancienne following Wolves' home draw with Liverpool.
The on-loan Chelsea defender played in a central midfield holding role and he helped neutralise the threat of the ever dangerous Steven Gerrard.
Michael said: "The boys worked really hard and we certainly deserved what we got at the end of the game which was a point and a clean sheet.
"I really enjoyed myself in central mid but, to be honest, I don't mind where I am as long as I'm playing."
Marcus added: "We played super well. We changed things a little bit and put Manse in midfield which gave us a little extra help against Gerrard because he pops up everywhere.
"Putting Manse in there meant that he could keep an eye on him when he dropped in short which is usually where he caused us most of the problems."
Considering the opposition, Marcus had by his own admission a relatively quiet evening as he coped the Merseyside threat.
"I didn't have a lot of saves to make," he agreed. "Certainly when you play one of the top teams you expect to make a lot more. I just had a few crosses and back passes to deal with otherwise it was a pretty quiet game from what you would expect.
"I thought that Jody, Christophe, Wardy and Zubes had awesome games at the back.
"We had been stuck on 19 points for a while so it was nice to get off that and there couldn't be a better way of doing it than against a top team.
"But now we have to start thinking about Saturday and hopefully we can carry some confidence into the Hull game and to get a result there would be fantastic."
