Wolves have swooped to make highly rated Belgian international midfielder Geoffrey Mujangi Bia their first signing of the January transfer window.
The Brussels-born 20-year-old has joined on loan from RSC Charleroi until the end of the season with an option for Wolves to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Mujangi arrived in Wolverhampton to watch last Saturday's game with Wigan and having been training with the team has now completed a medical.
There is a chance that he will feature in Saturday's FA Cup tie with Crystal Palace if the international clearance comes through in time.
"We've very pleased to have signed Geoffrey," said boss Mick McCarthy.
"He's a player who Taff (Ian Evans) has been tracking for a while and will add some creativity and firepower to our squad.
"He's an attacking midfielder who can play on the right or the left as well as centrally."
Mujangi, who will take squad number 25, can also play as a striker and has notched seven goals in 48 appearances in the Belgian First Division with Charleroi.
He has also struck twice in six games for the Belgian under-21 team prior to graduating to senior honours, his debut against Chile last May the first of two caps won so far.
"I first heard about the interest a couple of weeks ago and am very happy to have signed," said Geoffrey.
"I've played in England once before with Belgium under-21s and it's been my dream to play in the Premier League.
"It was good to meet the manager this week and I'm looking forward to playing for him."
Wolves CEO Jez Moxey added: "We are very pleased to have Geoffrey.
"He comes to us with excellent credentials and because he is only 20 years, he has enormous potential.
"He is highly respected in Belgium and regarded as one of their most talented young players.
"This has been a difficult transfer window so far but we hope at least one or maybe two players will follow this signing."
As in line with Wolves policy on new signings, the terms of the deal will remain undisclosed.
