Boss Mick McCarthy believes the improvement in Sam Vokes since his loan spell proves the benefit of sending players out for first team experience.
Sam is back at Molineux after two-and-a-half months on loan with League One highflyers Leeds and has impressed the manager in training.
And that is why he will continue sending young players out on loan, although at present Sam is unlikely to be joining them with injuries to Stefan Maierhofer and Andy Keogh.
"Big Sam Vokes has come back and he looks two yards quicker, and that's what you get from playing first team football," said Mick.
"We all know it's beneficial for them to get that and to go out and play, and Sam's looked excellent.
"There's no chance of him going back out on loan at the minute because I've got Stefan Maierhofer needing a hernia operation and Andy Keogh out for weeks.
"It will be a couple of months before we see Andy back playing again.
"Having said that, he's been walking on a machine at the training ground so he's progressing nicely, but he'll still be six weeks.
"It's a long old road back for him."
