Sylvan Ebanks-Blake today insisted the Wolves players completely understand
The double Championship Golden Boot winner was one of those not involved on Tuesday night, thus missing out on the chance to make a second return to Old Trafford since departing United for
But the frontman who gave absolutely everything in helping Wolves win at Tottenham last weekend believes it's the manager's pregorative to do as he likes with his team and continues to have the support of the squad.
"Decisions like this rest with the manager and when you take that away then you take away then you take away a part of the club," said Sylvan.
"As players we are totally behind him and both understand and agree with the decision he has made.
"As players we just get on with it and are happy to do so.
"The Tottenham game took a great deal out of us and by putting in all that work and effort we managed to produce a result which most people probably never thought we would get.
"It was important that those players who had run themselves into the ground didn't run the risk of picking up any injuries.
"And you've got to remember that we've got a squad of first team players many of whom were chomping at the bit.
"The manager has said all along we'd need to use all our players this season and that it's a squad game and Tuesday night just highlighted that.
"For me personally of course it would have been nice to go and play at Manchester United again but that's the same for everyone.
"We all want to play in these games but we all want to stay in the Premier League and sometimes the manager may decide to change things around to not only try and get a result but also look to keep players right."

"It's all part of the game now, it needs a massive effort from everyone concerned which is why the whole team deserve credit for that Tottenham performance."
Sylvan expects a typically tough encounter, and admits it will be interesting to see which team is picked by his manager.

"I am sure the fans will be getting right behind us and it will be a big team effort to try and get that win.
"I don't think anyone is guaranteed a place either, it's not set in stone that everyone who played against Tottenham will definitely start the game.
"The manager hasn't named the team yet and we're all still waiting and hoping we'll be involved.
"Everyone is just chomping at the bit to get back out there."
And getting back out there will at least allow the players the chance to forget a fairly high-profile few days in which Wolves have become the footballing centre of attention.

"Yes it's what we're paid to do, to train everyday and go out and do the business on the pitch," he said.
"Whatever has happened this week it will be good to get back out there and play football again and hopefully pick up a positive result."
