For Sunday's derby match against Birmingham City (K.O: 12pm, non-televised) a team of avid Wolves supporters are working together to make the atmosphere in the stands even more electrifying.

Led by Paul and Tim King, over twenty volunteers are going to be working over the next few days to distribute Wolves-branded flashcards to every seat in the Jack Harris and Stan Cullis stands.

Prior to kick-off fans will be asked to raise their flashcards aloft, which will create a spectacular gold and black mosaic effect in the stands.

Paul and Tim say: "It's going to be the Battle of the Stands during the games against Birmingham and Bolton.

"It's Part One this weekend with the Jack Harris and Stan Cullis Stands, and then Part Two for the Bolton game with the Billy Wright and Steve Bull - hopefully it will have a positive effect on the atmosphere ahead of a crucial game!

"It will probably take three days or so for us to get all the cards on the seats, even with the number of volunteers we have got.

"We're just a group of fans who are acting as a human resource to be honest, doing what we can with the club to help out."

Nobody, least of all the players, underestimates the difference that a good atmosphere in the stands can make.

Kevin Doyle says of the encouragement of the supporters: "The fans have been great ever since I arrived at the club and really got behind the team.

"I was sat in the stand on Saturday against Chelsea and even with the way the game was going, it was the Wolves fans I could hear all the way through.

"We'll need them again on Sunday and anything that can be done to help the atmosphere will be important.

"A lot can happen in 90 minutes, but we'll go out there and be very positive and the crowd can make a massive difference."

Keep eyes peeled for the Flashcards in the Jack Harris and Stan Cullis Stands this weekend, and then in the Billy Wright and Steve Bull stands against Bolton.

Instructions for the displays are on the cards and extra direction will be given via the PA system.
