Wolves keeper Matt Murray remains in positive mood despite coming off after 23 minutes of his comeback appearance for the reserves for precautionary reasons.
Matt, who has been in some intense training in recent weeks, felt slight discomfort in his knee in the early stages of last night's win against Birmingham and was therefore substituted to avoid taking any risks.
The popular gloveman watched the remainder of the first half from the substitutes bench and believes the problem is the sort of minor setback associated with many comebacks from long-term injuries.
"It's frustrating because I wanted to play on particularly because there were people at the game but it's better to be safe," he said.
"The most important thing is completing my recovery - this was just another step on my rehabilitation and when you've been out for so long then these things can happen.
"I've been training well for the last three or four weeks and I've done my first warm-up for a game for a long time and that felt good.
"But I just felt a little bit of discomfort in the early stages and the medical team felt there was no point in trying to carry on and play the 90 minutes and take any risks.
"It's better to take the precaution, see how things settle down and then carry on my rehab."
Last night saw Matt take the field in a competitive game for the first time in almost a year since rupturing his patella tendon while on loan at Hereford.
He received a warm ovation from the fans at Telford's New Bucks Head Stadium as Wolves won 2-0 against Birmingham thanks to goals from George Elokobi and Greg Halford.
