Saturday's big derby certainly needs no additional hyping-up as Wolves and Aston Villa seek the sort of positive result which would boost their differing needs in the Barclays Premier League.
And particularly so for Wolves Fitness and Conditioning Coach Tony Daley, now into his third year at Molineux in his second stint having played for the club between 1994 and 97.
Because Tony spent nine years as a player at Aston Villa, coming through the ranks before making almost 300 senior appearances and helping the club to their League Cup triumph of 1994.
"Absolutely this is no ordinary game for me," Tony admits.
"Having played at the club for nearly ten years, it is the club I still support.
"There'll be that little bit of an edge to it for me but it's a game I am really looking forward to.
"I loved it at Villa, playing for the club I supported as a kid and think I had a good rapport with the fans.
"We had relative success there as well - I managed to get a couple of runners-up medals and we won the League Cup and I picked up some international caps when I was playing as well.
"I have faced Villa three times before when I was at Sheffield United but Saturday's game and the one at Villa Park were obviously the games I was looking out for this season."
There will certainly be no divided loyalties on show on Saturday however as Tony does everything possible to help prepare Wolves for the task of trying to take all three points against the highflying visitors.
And he is confident the players will be at optimum fitness as they try to spring a surprise against their more established Midlands rivals.
"We are scrapping and fighting to stay in this league and have had a pretty good start," he says.

"But automatically, like most teams who come to Molineux, we will be seen as underdogs on Saturday.
"Fitness is one of the things that the gaffer and Terry Connor are striving hard to get because the way we want to play the game is for 95 minutes.
"We have got young, eager, fit players who can do that job as well as the older and more experienced players as well.
"They are a fantastic bunch of lads to work with and I couldn't wish for a better group."
Tony meanwhile is one of those who would love to see all the Midlands teams occupying the top flight so big local derbies could become the norm rather than the exception.
"Back in the Seventies and Early Eighties you'd got Villa, Blues, West Brom and ourselves all in the top flight and I am sure that's what all the fans want to see again.
"It was fantastic.
"This is a true derby and there will be an edge to it. I am sure the atmosphere will be fantastic.
"Our fans have been outstanding so far this season and I am sure they will help as we try to deliver results."
