The Wolves Academy Under 16s are off on a trip to Qatar where they will play two matches against the national side.
The 16 strong squad leaves for the five day long trip on Monday and they will head out to Doha where they will be working at the Aspire Academy.
The Aspire Sports Academy is a national centre for sporting talent across the country of Qatar, and they set out to provide their athletes (in a wide range of sports) with plenty of international experience.
They do this by going into other countries and inviting teams to visit them.
Accompanying the squad will be Academy Manager Kevin Thelwell, Nick Loftus, Educational and Welfare Officer, physio Jazz Sodhi and fitness coach Dan Lothian.
Nick said: "Kev and I are continually looking at potential trips for our youth squads, and one of the avenues explored was to the Aspire Academy.
"Aspire's Academy Manager is Mick Browne is formerly from Wolverhampton. He moved on to work in Qatar after being Academy Manager at Charlton Athletic for many years.
"I have contacted Mick on a few occasions by email, but have not seen him since he left Wolverhampton in 1978. He contacted us on Friday 25th September asking if we would be interested in going - in two weeks time!
"The Academy staff met straight away and considered the feasibility of organising this at such short notice. We decided that it was an opportunity not to be missed and we are hoping that an even stronger link can be made between the Aspire Academy and Wolves.
"Aspire give annual invites to Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea from England and also invite top teams from other countries.
"We will playing games against Qatar on Tuesday and again on Thursday with both matches kicking-off at 5.30pm. The facilities are second to none and our squad will be given full access to them during our stay."
