Dave Edwards admits Sunday's televised trip to Sunderland is a tough challenge for Wolves to tackle - but insists they will go into the game believing it is one they can win.

Wolves were beaten 1-0 in the Carling Cup at Manchester United on Wednesday, but are aiming for back-to-back victories in the Barclays Premier League having overcome Fulham last weekend.

"Now we're going for back-to-back wins in the League, and if we get that, it will really push us up the table," says Dave.

"If we could follow the win over Fulham with one at Sunderland, which is definitely achievable, then we'd be in a really good position for Portsmouth at home the following Saturday.

"The league's the most important thing and if we can follow up with another win, it will really help us out.

"It will be a hard game - everyone knows Sunderland are a big, strong, physical team and under Steve Bruce, they're no pushovers.

"They've started alright but they'll be trying to bounce back from their defeat against Burnley.

"It will be a tough game, but we've got to take the confidence from beating Fulham and have a positive attitude."
