PRE-MATCH BUILD-UP
After their narrow defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Carling Cup on Wednesday, Wolves return to league action with a trip to the Stadium of Light this Sunday. (Kick-off 4pm)
Last time Wolves travelled to the Stadium of Light was the 7th April 2007 when the teams met in The Championship. Roy Keane's in form Sunderland spoiled Mick's return to the city as the home side ground out a hard fought 2-1 victory. Andy Keogh got Wolves' goal in the game. (Click here for match report)
The other meeting between the sides that season was on a Friday evening back in November. That game ended 1-1 with Jemal Johnson netting for Wolves and Stephen Elliott equalising ten minutes from time for the visitors. (Click here for match report)
