Welsh international keeper Wayne Hennessey was in peak form as Wolves beat Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

After a quiet opening period he held The Cottagers at bay commanding his area and was only beaten by Danny Murphy's spot kick.

Wayne said: "I didn't have much to do at all in the first-half - I didn't have a shot to save. But in the second things were a lot busier. The lads started to get a bit tired towards the end and the crosses and shots started to come in.

"But I thought we deserved to win. I think we have done alright in all the games this season apart from at Blackburn but the results have let us down a bit so it was nice to get the three points today."

Christophe Berra, who was named as Man of the Match, earned some words of praise from Wayne who said: "Christophe was brilliant, he was like a brick wall.

"He's taken some bangs but he was fantastic today and he deserved to get the Man of the Match award. He even had a hand in Doyler's goal.

"And the fans were brilliant again. It was a near full house and as I've said before, they are like a twelfth man to us."
