Nenad Milijaš and Serbia may be on the brink of the World Cup finals after Wednesday's draw with France in Belgrade - but the Wolves midfielder places just as much importance in tomorrow's trip to Blackburn.
Nenad showed nerves of steel to convert an early penalty in the midweek qualifier, and while Thierry Henry's equaliser saw the game finish 1-1, Serbia are now four points ahead of France with just two games remaining.
"It was a good result for us," says the 26-year-old.
"We went into the game wanting to win but we knew France are a very good team.
"We started well and got the first goal but France played well and equalised.
"At the end a draw was a good result for us because it leaves us four points ahead with just two games to go.
"We are confident we can win one of the last two games, and hopefully will be able to do it in the next home game with Romania.
"They have started to play well now but cannot qualify and it's all about us and how we perform.
"It is normal for me to take penalties and I scored in the last game against Austria.
"The stadium was full then just like it was on Wednesday but there was more to it against France because I knew that if we won that game we would win the group.
"That added some pressure to it and everyone expects me to score so it was good that I managed to do it."
Attention now immediately turns to tomorrow's trip to Ewood Park.
While knowing and indeed expecting a tough afternoon, Nenad believes Wolves have to make the trip North with plenty of belief.
"It is normal over here to have another game for Wolves so soon after coming back," he added.
"As a professional, playing at Blackburn is just as important a game to me as was playing against France in Belgrade.
"It will be a hard game but we want to pick up points and go to Blackburn thinking we can get a result.
"We've been training well and everybody is ready for the match.
"We have to go there believing we can get something and I think that we can.
"Blackburn are a good team and we will be away from home but we want to pick up points whenever we play because we want to stay in this division."
Nenad has started each of Wolves' Barclays Premier League fixtures this season, and has immediately settled in to the style of play.
He is still confident however that there is more to come.
"I've settled in well," he says.
"Most importantly is that the gaffer and everyone else at the club has been so keen to help me - you only have to ask if there are any problems.
"I've found a house now which is good and my girlfriend is here and settled.
"I think I've done o-k in the games which is important when you start particularly as I know the fans are expecting a lot both from me and the team.
"I just want to carry on playing better and better because we all want to stay in the Premier League."
