George Friend is set to join League One side Millwall on a month's loan.

The versatile left-sided player is expected to enter the Lions' Den on Friday ahead of their weekend fixture at home to Carlisle.

The 21-year-old arrived at Molineux in September of last year and made seven appearances during the season as Wolves clinched the Championship title.

He also impressed during the club's Development fixtures, and made excellent progress having arrived at the club from Exeter City, who he had helped achieve promotion to the Football League in the 2007/08 season.

George has featured in most of Wolves' friendlies during pre-season, but is now set for some more extensive competitive experience in League One.

The loan takes in six fixtures, up to and including the trip to Gillingham on September 12.
