Midfielder Nenad Milijaš has been granted permission not to join up with the Serbian squad for next week's friendly with South Africa.
The summer signing, a regular in the national team, will instead be allowed to prepare for his potential Barclays Premier League debut against West Ham a week tomorrow.
Serbian national coach Raddy Antic has agreed to the move having spoken with both the player and Wolves boss Mick McCarthy.
Nenad said: "The gaffer called Raddy and asked him if I could stay here and I spoke with him and told him this is my first game in the Premier League and it's important.
"Normally the most important thing for me is the national team but we are playing a friendly game against South Africa.
"It's a long way away and I have already flown to Australia this summer.
"It's too much so my coach said I can stay and play here.
"I am very pleased, I am so glad because I really want to play that first game.
"It is o-k for the future. I know I have played well for Serbia and in the last five games we have done very well in qualification so it won't be a problem."
Limited hospitality is now available for next weekend's West Ham match starting from just £85 plus VAT. Click HERE for further details.
