Stephen Gleeson has today completed a move to join Milton Keynes Dons on a three-year contract.

The Irish midfielder makes the switch to the League One outfit for an undisclosed fee having enjoyed a successful loan spell towards the end of last season until it was cut short by an ankle injury.

MK Dons were still keen to push the deal through even though former manager Roberto Di Matteo left the club yesterday to join West Bromwich Albion.

The 20-year-old is now due to join up with his new team-mates ahead of leaving for a pre-season tour of Portugal tomorrow.

Dublin-born Stephen came through the Wolves' Academy to graduate to the senior ranks, and in total made three senior appearances for the club.

He has enjoyed several successful loan spells during his time at Molineux, notably when helping Stockport to play-off success at Wembley in 2007.

"We would like to thank Stephen for all his efforts at Wolves and wish him the very best for the future," said Wolves CEO Jez Moxey.
