Nenad Milijaš is looking forward to his new life in England having taken advice from a fellow countryman already plying his trade here.
Currently on the books of two of the Premier League's top sides are colleagues that he has played alongside in international football.
He said: "There's Vidić at Manchester United and Ivanovic at Chelsea. I've played with both players in the Serbian national team.
"I'm very good friends with Nemanja (Vidić) who is a great guy and such an important player for Serbia.
"I know how he is thought of in England and it's good for Serbia to have a player like that here. I spoke with him before agreeing to move and he just told me to come.
"He said everything is great for football here and he told me just come and see, and after that you will stay.
"Playing against teams like Manchester United and Chelsea will be good for me and hopefully we can do well against them.
"England is a footballing country. The game started here in England I think it is the best here.
"It has the best pitches, the best stadiums, the best fans. It's a great place to play and what I've seen already in a few days is very nice.
"I'm not sure where I'm going to live yet but have already seen some nice places in the local area.
"My girlfriend will probably come here with me after we've been on the tour to Australia. And I'm sure my family will be coming to visit as well."
Certainly, Nenad doesn't seem to be phased by the pressures associated with top flight football in England.
He pointed out: "You can't play for Red Star Belgrade if you can't play under pressure.
"Fans always want Red Star to win the league every season and if it doesn't happen for a year then you have a problem.
"I don't fear pressure at all, and I am just putting myself under pressure to try and help Wolves make a good start to the season.
"If we can get some good results in the first three or four games I think it will really help us."
