Michael Kightly is looking forward to a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" on Sunday when Wolves get their hands on the Championship trophy.
Providing fans stay off the pitch at the end of the final game of the season with Doncaster, the famous trophy will be presented to Wolves and the players will embark on a much-deserved lap of honour around a packed Molineux.
As what used to be the old First Division trophy, it's the same piece of silverware lifted by Billy Wright exactly 50 years ago, and one which many famous names have got their hands on down the years.
Kights, who has missed the final few games of the season having undergone foot and hip surgery, is relishing the celebrations at the end of a long, hard but successful season.
"I hope it's a great day and I hope we all get the chance to go around the pitch and salute the fans," he said.
"I was probably one of those encouraging people to go on the pitch for the QPR game because I think the supporters deserved to enjoy the moment.
"It happened again at Barnsley but I hope that's it now and that we are all able to enjoy it on Sunday.
"It will be great for the boys to be able to get their hands on the trophy and parade it around the pitch - it's like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
"There's a lot of history associated with the trophy and the players are all looking forward to lifting it on Sunday."
Kights admits he's been disappointed to be injured at such a pivotal point of the campaign but after Wolves crossed the line, and he was also named in the PFA's Championship Team of the Year, his spirits have been boosted.
"Obviously I was down that I'd miss the final few games of the season after picking up my injury so it has given me a boost knowing that people have recognised that I've done well this year," he explained.
"Scoring eight goals and chipping in with 19 assists has made it a good season for me and then to see the lads clinch promotion, followed by the title, has topped it off.
"It's still disappointing not to be out there on the pitch but I'm looking forward to Sunday's game which should be a great experience."
