Like boss Mick McCarthy, Wolves' fitness and conditioning coach Tony Daley is hoping for a far more successful crack at the Premier League second time around.
Tony, who of course graced the top flight for many years as a player, was previously fitness coach with Sheffield United when they didn't quite win their battle against relegation.
Now back with Wolves, and once again set to lock horns with former club and boyhood heroes Aston Villa, the man who puts Mick's squad through their paces on a daily basis can't wait to mix it with the best.
"The objective was to go up and now we've achieved that, we're really pleased," he says.
"We're up now but we'll keep on working to make sure we stay there.
"This is a fantastic team of players and, while they were allowed to celebrate for a day or two, we were back in today and the hard work starts again.
"The last time I got to the Premier League was with Sheffield United and unfortunately we didn't stay up.
"We were close to staying up but hopefully we can go one step better and remain in the Premier League.
"On a personal level it will be fantastic to go back to Villa - I won't lie, it's a boyhood club.
"I went back with Sheffield United and I got a great reception but being professional, I'll be wanting Wolves to win!
"It would be fantastic going back there, especially with us being another Midlands club, the atmosphere will be great."
Wolves' fitness and sharpness has come to the fore in impressive fashion in recent weeks, notably with the blistering start against Southampton and strong finishes at Derby and Nottingham Forest.
Tony believes this is down largely to the willingness of a largely young squad, who he describes as among the best in the business.
He added: "My job has been so easy - they're the most professional group of young lads I've had the pleasure of working with.
"They moan like hell, but they get on with it and do it, so I've got no qualms about them at all.
"They eat up the workload and they want to do more.
"Sometimes it's a case of 'get them in, they've done enough now' but as I've said to the coaches, our job is made easy when you've got players of that ilk.
"They can always develop more - I'm greedy, I want them to be even fitter - so the workload won't be any different in the Premier League.
"We'll get these last two games out of the way and then the planning starts.
"Personally, I've already started planning for next season.
"I'm three-quarters of the way through the schedules for pre-season, so most of the work is underway from my point of view.
"The players will enjoy their holiday, but they will be ready for the start of pre-season."
