Wolves midfielder Stephen Gleeson has joined League One promotion-chasers MK Dons on loan until the end of the season.

Earlier in the season the 20-year-old enjoyed the latest of three successful loan spells with Stockport, scoring three goals in 25 appearances.

He has been a member of Wolves' matchday squad in recent weeks, without making the substitutes bench, and as a result he has been allowed out to MK Dons to continue to pick up more experience.

MK Dons are currently fourth in the table as they seek a second successive promotion, firmly ensconsed in the play-off places but only six points off automatic promotion with a game in hand on Peterborough.

Stephen is currently on international duty with the Republic of Ireland ahead of games with Spain on Friday and Turkey next Tuesday in Waterford and Cork respectively.

The loan spell is set to include the play-offs should MK Dons be involved.
