Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has withdrawn from the England-under-21 squad with a calf injury ahead of the two friendlies with Norway and France.

Sylvan was today back at Compton for treatment after feeling tightness in his calf following a training session with the under-21s on Monday.

A scan has revealed a slight strain in the calf muscle but Wolves' medical staff are cautiously optimistic he will be fit for the club's next game at Birmingham on April 6.

The two under-21 fixtures would have come too soon for the striker but the international break does give him time to work towards fitness for the next Championship game.
