Christophe Berra admitted he had mixed feelings after his home debut for Wolves against Cardiff.
Generally pleased with the performance which brought him the sponsor's man of the match award but disappointing and vowing to learn from 'losing' Roger Johnson for the header which gave Cardiff their second goal in yesterday's 2-2 draw.
"I was pleased with my overall performance, but the second goal came from the guy (Roger Johnson) I was supposed to be marking and I was disappointed.
"As a defender, you don't want to lose goals but I'll go back and look at it and I'll speak to the manager to see how I can improve on it for the future.
"The guy just got away from me a bit, but in football you learn from your mistakes.
"I have to keep working hard at my game, and, as centre halves usually doesn't hit their peak until they're in their late 20s, I've still got a lot of things to learn.
"I'll still make mistakes in the future but I'll also do good things and it's just important I learn from them.
"Mistakes happen to every player - even the top players in the world.
"But they're always learning how to get better.
"As a defender, it's all about experience and I'm getting valuable experience in every game.
"But it's not about my performances - it's about the team performance."
And in that respect Christophe could certainly see the positives after a lively first half performance and a point on a weekend when nearest rivals Reading and Birmingham both lost.
"We were impressed with our first half perfomance and we created a lot of chances," he added.
"We took the game to Cardiff and we have to take positives from it.
"We wanted three points and we got one, but Blues and Reading have dropped points so it was another point gained over them.
"It was a great fightback and especially with Birmingham and Reading dropping points, it's a point gained over them.
"We've got to go into every game knowing it will be a hard game.
"We have 12 massive games left now and we'll take each game as it comes and see if we can rise to the challenge.
"I'm looking forward to Plymouth coming here next Saturday."
