Wolves' CEO Jez Moxey insists a quick return to winning ways will put the club in "great shape" as the Championship promotion race nears its home straight, and insists there is "absolutely no need to panic".
The recent run of one win from eight games is the sort which often afflicts teams in such a competitive division, and the CEO believes the fact that Wolves are still heading the table after such a sequence is a hugely positive sign.
Burnley tomorrow is another tough assignment for Mick McCarthy and his team, but Jez is confident in what lies ahead over the remaining 14 games.
"We can't escape the fact that we've only won one of our last eight games," Jez tells Wolves World in a lengthy interview now available to subscribers.
"But for us to have had that run and still be in top spot hopefully bodes well.
"Although we've got some tough games coming up if we can win a few we will maintain our position.
"Hopefully we can get back to the kind of winning ways that we saw earlier in the season when we had two consecutive runs of seven wins.
"If we can put together a string of wins we will be in great shape.
"There are 14 games to go, lots of pressure, we all just need to take a deep breath.
"I've said all along and it's worth repeating that this team will lose games.
"This team is inexperienced and will make mistakes and that is what's happened with individual errors meaning we haven't won games that we should have.
"But we're still playing relatively well and creating chances so there's absolutely no need to panic."
Jez has also saluted the impact of the Molineux faithful thus far this season, believing they have made a difference in helping the team make major strides from last season.
He added: "The fans have been fantastic all season, home and away.
"They do make a difference and we enjoy playing in front of them.
"The team often talks about the expectation and there is expectation here - we know it, the fans know it, and the players know it.
"The fans will do their job I am sure, and the players will keep doing their job and we'll be fine."
Jez also talks in the interview about the business conducted during the transfer window including the arrival of Christophe Berra and departure of Mark Davies, as well as touching on the new contracts penned this week by Matt Jarvis and Andy Keogh.
And he has also revealed another new deal may not be far away.
"We're also now talking to George Elokobi," he explained.
"Although George is injured he's only got a year to go and he made such a great impact at the club since arriving from Colchester that we've started talking to him.
"I expect something to be announced imminently on that one."
