Wolves CEO Jez Moxey confirmed:  "We have agreed a deal with Hearts for an undisclosed fee, and, on condition of Christophe passing a medical this evening, he will be signing for us.

"Should the medical be satisfactory, contract talks will proceed with a view to him signing for us tonight and a formal announcement made on Monday morning.

"He is a player we've looked at for a long time."

Christophe is a player who has been on Mick McCarthy's radar for some considerable time and indeed Wolves tried to sign him last summer.

A strong and physical defender, he initially had experience with Edina Hibs before coming through the ranks at Hearts and making his debut in November, 2003.

In total the 6ft 1in has made 146 appearances and scored five goals, and has captained the club since the start of the 2007/08 season.

A Scottish under-21 international, he then graduated to senior honours by making his debut against the Czech Republic last May and has now won three caps.
