Jarvis Back In The Frame

Posted on: Fri 05 Dec 2008

Matt Jarvis is back in the Wolves squad for the first time in over two months for tomorrow's trip to Queens Park Rangers.

The winger, sidelined since tearing a hamstring in the defeat to Reading on September 30, is in the 20-strong party travelling to London this afternoon and has a chance of featuring in the matchday 16.

"Jarvo is in the squad and is available for selection," said boss Mick McCarthy.

"I'm not taking him just for the ride - he's available to be used.

"Although a friendly was called off this week he had 60 minutes intense training and has  been working with the first team.

"It's terrific to have him back.

"He'd been flying prior to getting injured against Reading.

"Kights (Michael Kightly) and him were doing real damage.

"To have him back as quick as we have is real testament to the treatment he's had from the doctor, physios and fitness coaches."

Carl Ikeme is still unavailable with the hip problem sustained at Sheffield United but that apart it's a clean bill of health other than long-term absentee George Elokobi.
