Michael Gray admits Wolves were delighted to return from Watford with three points on Saturday - but also "annoyed" at conceding another two goals.

Micky, who popped up with the crucial winner 20 minutes from time, believes Wolves cannot continue relying on scoring three goals on their travels to ensure winning a game, and that defensively they need to improve throughout the whole team.

"We talked all week about getting back to clean sheets but it didn't happen and we made it difficult for ourselves," he said of the 3-2 win.

"We could have lost and from where we are in the league and the way we've been playing, we shouldn't really find ourselves in situations like that.

"It's heart-wrenching when you keep conceding goals like that.

"We've conceded 14 in five games now and that's not right.

"That starts from the front, not just the keeper and back four, it's everybody.

"We've got to work on that and have worked on that all week you shouldn't have to go away from home and have to score three goals to win a match.

"It was a bit frustrating in the end - great to win but annoying knowing we could have lost it."

Micky meanwhile admits there was only one contender for man-of-the-match in his opinion - Kevin Foley.

Not only did the defender produce his customary consistency from the right back berth, there were also the two late goal-line clearances which preserved Wolves' advantage.

Micky added: "If I did want to pinpoint anyone, I thought Kevin Foley was outstanding - he was awesome.

"He's Mr Consistent - someone once said Denis Irwin was a seven or eight out of 10 every week and I think you could probably say that about Kevin as well.

"He probably won us the three points. He's very consistent and on Saturday, his awareness of what was going to happen on the pitch was awesome.

"I don't know how many man of the match awards he's had in the papers, but he was certainly mine."

Of course it was Michael himself who notched the winner, and he admits he wasn't completely sure that Michael Kightly was going t square the ball as he ran in on goal.

"I thought Kights was going to shoot and I was just making up the numbers in the box," he added.

"But it was great vision and I was just pleased I was able to put it away."
