And after a first look around Molineux the 23-year-old graduate of Manchester United's Academy admitted he can't wait to get started.
"I'm delighted it's all done," says David, who has signed a three-year contract.
"Wolves are a massive club with great history and I'm really chuffed to be here - I can't wait for pre-season.
"From just looking around the stadium today I'm relishing getting going, it looks a special place to play.
"I just want to try and work myself into the team and show what I can do.
"Wolves are a traditional football club which all the staff are geared into, and that suits me down to the ground.
"I think this is the right stage for me to push on and progress with my career."

"If I did need it last season's experience will give me more fire in my belly but I know I have got a great opportunity at Wolves to do well and impress."
A creative midfielder with an impressive left foot, David, who met some of the squad during a fitness exercise this morning, is hoping to not only set goals up for Wolves' strikers but also chip in with a few himself.
"I like to think I can create chances for others as well as try and score goals myself," he says.
"Midfielders these days have also got to be box-to-box players and support the defence and I'd like to think I could help in all departments.
"I've met a few of the players this morning and a fair few members of the staff and everyone seems great.
"Hopefully now I can show the fans the sort of player I am and help the team."
Boss Mick McCarthy was "delighted" to make David his third summer signing hot on the heels of Richard and Sam Vokes.
"I've admired David as a player for a long time and am delighted we have signed him," said Mick.
"He's got a very good left foot, which is an area which I felt we needed strengthening, and he will give us a good balance to the team.
"He's also got a superb pedigree having come through the ranks at Manchester United."

"He's a very good passer, both long and medium range, and works very well in tight situations.
"He's also great at dead ball situations and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him taking our free kicks and corners.
"We think he'll be a tremendous addition to the squad."
