Sparky Hoping For Change Of Luck

Posted on: Sat 07 Jun 2008

Mark Davies is hoping the injury hoodoo that devastated his season is now well and truly behind him.

Three separate setbacks during the 2007/08 campaign limited his appearances to a handful of reserve outings.

Sparky explained: "I injured my knee in pre-season training last summer and then landed badly on my shoulder in a reserve game against Walsall just before Christmas.

"I tore a muscle near the collarbone and that took a fair while to clear up and, when it did, I managed to tweak a medial knee ligament in training which really capped things off for me.

"But I'm fit again now. I've been coming into the training ground and doing some fitness work since the lads broke up for the holidays and I'm looking forward to joining in with pre-season training when they come back.

"I'm only 20 but I've had more than my share of bad luck with injuries.

"So I just hope that things are going to change for the better for me because this is going to be a big season for the club and I want to be a part of it."
