Fitness coach Tony Daley will be checking out the Wolves squad over the next three days as they reach the midway point of the pre-season break.
The players have all, as usual, been given their own individual fitness programmes to work on over the summer months and Tony will make any adjustments necessary after assessing each man.
He explained: The work the lads have to do over the close season concerns conditioning, strengthening and core stability.
"The tests I will be running on them will show if they are on the right track with their progress.
"I will be seeing the squad in three groups over the next three days although the ones who have been involved with internationals or play-off games whilst on loan won't be coming in as they have continued to play football after the final Sunday of the League season.
"To go from the beginning of May until the end of June without any feedback is a long time so I decided to bring them back in at the midway point to assess things.
"It's not just a case of if they are falling behind a bit, it could be that they are working too hard so the tests could be really beneficial to them.
"We don't want them too fit too soon. They need to be at their peak for when the season starts on August 9 and the tests I will be doing over the next three days will go a long way to ensuring that they are."
