ROLE
The club is looking to recruit a strong sales executive to work within its commercial team. The successful candidate will be expected to help develop relationships with sponsors and clients. The role will include meeting and exceeding targets with a view to increasing revenue across sponsorships, corporate hospitality packages and non-football events.
HOURS OF WORK
* Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm (one hour lunch break)
*Home matches (weekend and evenings)
*Any special events/dinners
* Flexibility in this role is essential
DUTIES:
*Sell match-day corporate packages and sponsorship to raise revenue for the club.
* Build relationships with existing customers and develop fresh prospects through outbound telesales.
* Assist in the delivery of match-day hospitality and build relationships face-to-face with key customers.
* Make telephone contact with current, lapsed and potential corporate customers in order to sell hospitality packages for football matches, special events and dinners.
* Arrange appointments with potential customers on behalf of the commercial management.
* Interact with customers at home games and special events in order to promote relationships and drive incremental business.
SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
* Excellent telephone manner with an ability to make quality outbound calls.
* Proven business-to-business sales experience with a track record in delivering results.
* Commitment to customer service and detail.
* Dynamic, pro-active, organised and methodical.
* Computer literate (especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Team player.
* Football knowledge (desirable but not essential).
