Defender Returns

Posted on: Mon 07 Apr 2008

Mark Little has returned to Wolves after a three month loan spell with Northampton Town.

The defender played a total of 17 games for the Cobblers only three of which ended in defeats.

He said: "I played every minute of the games save for half and hour at Yeovil when I got a bit of a knock and had to go off. Basically, it couldn't have gone better for me and I thoroughly enjoyed myself with them.

"They have done really well under Stuart Gray and are now just six points off a play-off place. I think their original target for the season was to steer clear of the relegation zone.

"Now I'm back at Wolves and my number one aim is to push for a place in the team here.

"There are definitely six games left, and hopefully another three after that, and it would be great to be involved.

"The experience of going to Northampton and playing first team football has done me a lot of good. I'm feeling fit and ready to go if the gaffer needs me."

Meanwhile, another Wolves youngster currently out on loan, Elliott Bennett, has had his spell with Bury extended,

He was due to have returned to Molineux today after two months with the League Two side, but he will now remain at Gigg Lane for another three weeks. He has played 16 time for the Shakers since the loan began.
