Bug Bites At Molineux

Posted on: Fri 14 Mar 2008

Wolves are battling a sickness bug that has hit the camp.

Freddy Eastwood and Kevin Kyle fell victim earlier in the week and were absent from the squad that travelled to Preston.

Now Matt Jarvis is suffering.

Manager Mick McCarthy says: "It's hit a few people and Jarvo had to miss training yesterday.

"He's come in this morning and looks ok but we'll have to see how he is as it can be quite debilitating.

"Freddy and Kevin will be ok to travel to Burnley tomorrow but it did knock the stuffing out of them.

"Jarvo seems to have got over it quicker but it takes a lot out of you if you aren't able to eat or drink anything for 24 hours."

Wolves will also be without Stephen Elliott who has strained his ankle in training.

The boss is hoping Wolves' luck will turn tomorrow after having two questionable penalty decisions go against them in consecutive matches.

Mick adds: "People say these things even themselves out so, if that's true, we are have got a fair slice coming to us.

"We have still got a good opportunity and will keep fighting to get into the play-offs.

"We would like to be in a better position but considering some of our results but we are still in a position that we can achieve it.

"It's still all to play for."
