Kevin Foley described the mood in the dressing room after last night's draw against Southampton as despondent.
The defender, who was penalised for a 'foul' on David McGoldrick, says he was shocked when referee Colin Webster awarded the Saints a penalty.
Wolves conceded a second equaliser from a set piece just seconds from the end, leading manager Mick McCarthy to say his side had thrown two points away.
Kevin says: "All the lads were devastated at the end.
"In the last couple of games we've scrapped out good results away from home and tonight wasn't the prettiest but we felt we'd done enough to do the same again.
"Sometimes you get games like that, it's not always going to be pretty football but you end up with the points.
"I was very surprised with the penalty decision.
"When I heard the whistle I thought he was blowing up for a dive or something.
"I just stood my ground and went shoulder to shoulder and even their lad said he couldn't believe it was a penalty.
"Even if there's contact with where it was on the edge of the box, if it's touch and go referees usually give it as a free kick.
"But he gave it straight as a penalty and none of us could believe it.
"We're all disappointed with their second equaliser as well.
"It seemed like a free header and we'll have to look at it on the video.
"We won't just leave it at that, we'll have a look and figure out what went wrong and see why he should get a free header especially when they were down to ten men."
