New Man Pays Tribute To Crowd

Posted on: Wed 30 Jan 2008

David Edwards paid tribute to the Molineux crowd following Wolves' late victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

The midfielder was making his home debut and as well as helping his new team to three points, he also scooped the Man of the Match award.

He said: The crowd were brilliant tonight. They got behind us from the start and were like a 12th man in those final minutes.

"I thought that we did really well in the first half but didn't put our chances away.

"After the break there were a few stoppages which broke the game up, and not so many chances. I had the best one but couldn't quite get the ball in the right position to get the shot in that I wanted to.

"That makes three wins out of the last three games and we'll be looking to build on that when we go to Watford again on Saturday."
