Man of the Match Darren Ward took some positives from the New Year's Day encounter with Sheffield United.

Whilst the draw meant that Wolves have now gone seven games without a win, the big defender pointed out that the defence had kept another clean sheet - the 12th of the season.

Wolves have conceded just 23 goals in the League - the best defensive record in the Championship.

"I thought we worked hard and deserved the clean sheet," said Darren.

"They had two big men up front and they are a decent side who were tipped to go up.

"With a bit more steel and craft we could have won but it wasn't to be.

"But it's a long season and things don't always go the way you want them to. And I really don't think that we've had the best of luck.

"We are there to do our best and need the fans to stick behind us. If we get a scrappy 1-0 or 2-1 win then you never know - it could be the start of a good winning run."
