No Decision
Mick McCarthy has yet to decide if he will allow an extension to Daniel Jones' loan to Northampton
The midfielder, who is due back at Molineux in the first week in January, has already made 21 appearances for the Cobblers.
"I have not made my mind up yet whether he should stay," said Mick. "He's gone and had four months playing in and around someone's first team, has DJ, but we're not blessed with loads of left-sided players like him.
"If I was to leave him there till the end of the season the next time I would really see him training competitively with us would be August or July. It might be a time to bring him back and see what is up with him.
"I'll have that discussion with Stuart Gray (Northampton manager) soon."
On the possibility of bringing in new blood during the transfer window, the boss added: "It is possible that we look abroad but it depends on who's available come January and whether people will let their players go. All of these things need to be considered.
"We also need to consider the personal terms as well. Someone might be available but what is he looking for in terms of personal terms? We're still trying to run things sensibly, as well.
"There might be inflated price tags but if there was someone that was a long-term acquisition then I'm sure we would be prepared to pay for them. But we'll just have to see."
