Stephen Gleeson returned to full training today after his frightening collision with Coventry goalkeeper Daniel Ireland in last week's reserve match against the Sky Blues.

However, despite his progress, Stephen will miss out on Ireland's next two under 21 games - one of which is against England.

"It would have been good to square up against Kites (Michael Kightly) - there would have only been one winner," he laughed.

"But when Don Givens, the under 21s manager, rang at the weekend to see if I was available I had to say no.

"But I did a full session today, including contact work, and I came through it without any problems.

"Now, hopefully, I will be able to figure in next week's Birmingham Senior Cup tie at Nuneaton. That's my target"
