Home Early
Wolves' international quartet of Freddy Eastwood, Wayne Hennessey (Wales) Kevin Foley and Andy Keogh (Ireland) will arrive back at Compton 24 hours ahead of schedule thanks to chairman Steve Morgan.
Wolves' new owner sent his private jet first to Slovakia and then the Czech Republic to pick up the players and fly them back to Birmingham after their games.
Wales beat the Solvaks 5-2 whilst Ireland lost 1-0 to the Czechs.
The Wolves boys were joined on the flight by Birmingham's Irish pair of Colin Doyle and Stephen Kelly.
Chief executive Jez moxey says: "The manager posed the question as to whether we could get the players back from Bratislava and Prague early because last time they were on international duty they were not back in training until Friday, leaving just one day to prepare for the Blackpool game.
"Bringing them back last night meant they could sleep in their own beds and be available for training this today.
"They can now get two sessions in before a very important game against Sheffield United on Saturday.
"I spoke to Steve Morgan and he was in agreement. We also brought two Birmingham players back to help cover the costs.
"Many clubs do this - it's not uncommon."
