Youngsters Gunning For Success

Posted on: Tue 10 Jul 2007

Wolves Youth team are back into pre-season training and will open their programme of friendly games against Arsenal on Wednesday July 25 (1pm kick-off, at Compton).

The youngsters, who will number 19 in total this season, will also play games against Blackpool on Wednesday August 1 (12 noon kick-off, away) and Coventry on Saturday August 4 (11am kick-off, at Compton).

The squad will then round off their warm-up with a trip to Holland.

"We've got our biggest intake possibly ever this year with 13 new boys joining us," says Academy manager Chris Evans.

"They are a very high quality group and as exciting an intake as I have known. They have been very successful over the past two years, playing in the toughest Academy division in England.

"Each player has followed a summer programme and we will be working on building up their fitness even further this week.
