A Nostalgic Trip

The Big Match - Wolverhampton Wanderers

The Big Match - Wolverhampton Wanderers, a new DVD, is a must for fans who would like to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane, revisiting an era in which families across the land would huddle around the TV every Sunday afternoon to watch highlights from games beamed into their living rooms.

Anchored by that late, great commentator Brian Moore, this DVD will transport you to a time when football really was a funny old game; Derek Dougan virtually invented the 70's styled 'tash'; players showed more leg than a bucket of KFC; and the smell of bovine based drinks consumed the terraces of Molineux.

Highlights of 14 matches are included on the DVD spanning the years from 1969 to 1982.

See Molineux legends like Mike Bailey, Dave Wagstaffe, Frank Munro and Steve Daley in action and recall once again the firepower of men like The Doog, John Richards, Hugh Curran and Kenny Hibbitt.

The 14 games include two victories over Spurs at White Hart Lane, a four goal mauling of Norwich at Carrow Road, Molineux triumphs over Everton and Manchester United, and a second Division clash with Millwall.

So pick a spot in front of the telly for an afternoon of entertainment delivered with the charm, wit and style oozed by Brian Moore and Jimmy Hill, and revisit classic action from the best of The Big Match.

Bonus Content: The Big Match was the original football magazine show; delivering top match action whilst going that bit further to inform and amuse; the best of which has been preserved on this DVD which contains over 90 minutes of extras.
