Recently two members of Wolves' Medical and Exercise Science Department travelled to India to spend a week working with the players and staff of Wolves' Community Partner, JCT FC.
The relationship between JCT and Wolves was established in 2008 as part of the 'Wolves-India' partnership. Since the signing of the agreement the two clubs have exchanged several information sharing visits both to Wolverhampton and to the Punjab in India.
Jez Moxey and Terry Connor travelled to tour JCT's stadium and training ground in Horshiarpur when the partnership was announced.

And in 2009, a delegation led by the President of JCT, Samir Thapar, travelled to the midlands to meet members of the senior management at Wolves to establish lines of synergy and to set a clear strategy for the collaboration.
Similarly, in July 2010, five players from the JCT senior squad travelled to Wolves to participate in the pre-season training at the club's Compton training ground.
So it was that last month Wolves' Sport Scientist John Iga and Academy physiotherapist Jazz Sodhi made the trip to JCT as the latest part in the successful partnership.
Iga says "the trip represented an excellent opportunity for us to further cement the good relations that exist between JCT and Wolves and to share information on best practice that will enable both clubs to improve their working operations.
"As part of my review I evaluated the sport science elements of the working practices at JCT at both First Team and Academy levels.
"I was duly impressed by the quality of the facilities and many of working practices that were being implemented by the staff at JCT.
"The staff were versed in many of the latest training techniques and were already applying a broad range of evidence-based practices to prepare their players for training and match-play.
"By implementing some very small changes to their working practices I feel that JCT will receive very big returns and hopefully ensure that they remain at the forefront of football not only in India but also hopefully on the local international stage."

Sodhi added "For a country immensely fanatical about cricket I was very pleased to see efforts being made to raise the profile of football.
"JCT already has in place the necessary core foundations required of a professional club. Foundations that John and I could educate staff/players to build on to drive the program forward.
"As part of my review I looked at strategies for injury diagnosis, management and prevention.
"It has been a rewarding experience and I would be delighted to return in the near future to witness the transformation of the club from the implementation of our suggestions"
Wolves CEO Jez Moxey added: "We were very proud to launch this partnership when Terry and myself travelled over to India and it continues to offer some important networking opportunities between the two clubs.
"I am delighted that John and Jazz's was such a success, and look forward to more similar information-sharing exchanges in the future."
