An Egg-Cellent Time Had By All

Posted on: Thu 16 Apr 2009

Hundreds of young fans braved the inclement weather conditions to see the Wolves squad put through their paces at an 'Egg-cellent' Open Training Session at Molineux this morning.

The cold and rain certainly didn't dampen spirits as Young Wolves members, Junior Season Ticket Holders and their parents or guardians not only took advantage of the free offer to watch the squad train but also enjoyed a host of other specially-arranged activities.

A fancy dress competition, Easter Egg hunt and entertainment from a stilt-walker were among the attractions on show for the second Open Training Session of the season staged as part of the Wolves 4 Family Football Campaign.

And the entire squad then stayed behind afterwards to spend time signing autographs and having pictures taken with delighted fans.

Ross Fletcher, aged 7, whose favourite players are Michael Kightly and Chris Iwelumo, was one of those who enjoyed the chance to take a behind-the-scenes look at his heroes.

"I really enjoyed seeing what the players did in training which otherwise I wouldn't have known anything about," said Ross.

"And it was great to be able to speak to them afterwards and get some autographs and pictures."

The Wolves 4 Family Football campaign contains many different strands and recently saw Wolves crowned Family Club of the Year at the 2009 Football League Awards.
