Wolves 4 Family Football Another Success

Posted on: Thu 18 Dec 2008

Over 2,000 fans took advantage of the Wolves 4 Family Football ticket offer by coming to enjoy Saturday's game with Barnsley at Molineux.

And, just like the previous W4FF match with Burnley, they all went home happy thanks to a 2-0 win!

A host of family entertainment was available courtesy of various stalls and thankfully the rain stopped for long enough to allow both parents and children to enjoy what was on offer.

The stilt-walker was also back patrolling the area outside the Stan Cullis Stand while the face-painting went down a storm.

"I really enjoyed coming to the game," admitted seven-year-old Jacob Salt from Ettingshall Park, whose favourite players are Chris Iwelumo and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

"I particularly enjoyed having my face painted in Wolves colours and for the team to win again was great."

Jacob was one of the hundreds of fans who took advantage of the free 'bang-bang sticks' dished out to young supporters to encourage them to generate a lively atmosphere.

There are still two more designated Wolves 4 Family Football games this season offering a Family Ticket for two adults and two children for just £40. (click here for details).

The two fixtures are with Preston on January 10 and Plymouth on February 28.

Meanwhile another part of the club-wide initiative to encourage more fans to Molineux is the Family Information Centre situated next to the Ticket Office which is open on every matchday.

The new facility is dedicated to providing a central point where families can book tickets for home and away games including coach travel as well as pick up information about soccer schools and birthday parties.

The centre is open from 9am-5pm for weekend home games (although closed during the game), and then from 4pm-8pm for midweek fixtures.
