JOHN HENDLEY'S WOLVES TOUR BLOG: PART TEN (OVER AND OUT)
Well that's it then. Our trip to Perth has come to an end and we are now faced with the long trek home. And, knowing my luck, I'll be sat next to Sylvan on the plane again. Just because I've mentioned him a couple of times on my blog he has been giving me constant stick and more than the occasional dig in the ribs.
I managed my first trip into Perth's shopping centre yesterday to buy myself a consolation prezzie. As I didn't get to meet a real one I bought a cuddly Platypus. I told the lady in the shop that I was going to call him Simon. I think that she thought I was a bit loopy until I explained that I was originally going to call him Ralph but thought that it was a daft name for a Platypus. I think she understood me then.

What I hope is my final embarrassment of the trip occurred after last night's game against North Queensland Fury. I went to get Mick for the post match press conference and walked straight into the Fulham dressing room.
As there were two games involving four teams, The Cottagers had been allocated the dressing room we used last Friday whilst we were situated elsewhere. I mumbled a few words of apology but it was total gibberish (Editor's note: Par for the course then) and they gave me the same strange look that the lady I bought Simon from did.
In closing I would like to sincerely thank everyone that has looked after us so brilliantly in Perth. The Gaffer said that we had been treated like kings and he wasn't exaggerating. I would like to pay a special tribute to Danny, Nicole and Lisa from the WACA, Mark White from Perth Glory, and Gregg the snapper we have used out here.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with them and I'd like to think that the friendship we have formed in a very short time will last for many years to come despite us being half a world away. Thanks guys.
Finally, thank you to those who have written kind comments about my blogs - I hope you got as much pleasure from reading them as I did writing them And Skippy, watch your back cobber, I'm coming homeā¦
EDITOR'S NOTE: Blimey. I don't think I've shed so many tears since watching Ghost and Titanic in the same afternoon. You seem to be getting on so well out there - any chance they can find you a job?! Sadly Skippy didn't quite manage to convince Jez of his credentials and has been given the elbow, seen here preparing to depart Molineux for the airport. Cheers Skip - it's been a blast! Foz - see you bright and breezy on Monday morning.....
