Former Southampton boss Stuart Gray joined Wolves' coaching staff over New Year 2004. Gray had previously enjoyed a brief spell as a coach at Molineux under Graham Taylor.

He returned, having signed no formal contract, as a favour to old friend Dave Jones - the pair had worked together at Southampton.

He was asked to take over as caretaker manager when Jones was dismissed on 1November 2004. When Glenn Hoddle took over as manager in December 2004, Stuart remained in his post having worked with the former England boss during his time at Southampton.

Stuart signed a new two-year contract in May 2004 after making a positive impact at the club, which was renewed in the summer of 2006.

He again took over as caretaker manager following Glenn Hoddle's resignation in July 2006.

He had previously enjoyed spells as  coach at Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

 COACH - TERRY CONNOR

Appointed as reserve team coach in the summer of 1999, Terry Connor was given the task of guiding the club's youngsters across the bridge that spans youth and senior football.

The appointment was due to concern that too many young talents were slipping through the net when they reach the transitional stage of their career.

Leeds born, Terry saw action with Leeds United, Brighton, Portsmouth, Swansea City and Bristol City.

When his playing days were over, he became Football in the Community coach at Swindon Town. He moved to the same post at Bristol Rovers which is where he first linked up with John Ward who promoted him to coach.

When Ward moved from Rovers to Bristol City, Terry followed and the pair were back together at Molineux, until John's departure in 2003.

With Wolves deciding not to operate a reserve team for the 2006/07 season, Terry will continue to help coach the club's young pros.
