Despite playing with a younger than normal team, Wolves took the honours when they met Sheffield United at the weekend thanks to second-half goals from Andre Landell and Jake Kempton. The win follows a 2-0 victory at Barnsley on the previous Saturday.
Included in the Wolves line up were three under 16s, five first years and just three second years.
There were few opportunities for either side in the opening 45 minutes and it was of little surprise that the teams went in at the break at nil-nil.
But Wolves began to gain the upper hand after the interval although Aaron McCarey had to make a good save to keep the scores level.
The breakthrough arrived in the 68th minute as Andre Landell broke free from the centre circle and kept his cool before slotting the ball home.
Jake Kempton, who played a part in the build up to the goal, was on target himself ten minutes later converting after some good wing work from John Gorman.
Coach Mick Halsall said: "We made a few adjustments at half-time and it seemed to have the desired affect because we were much the stronger side after the restart and fully deserved the points."
